As a long-time listener, the podcast played a key role in sparking his interest in a career in financial services, and, over the past year, he has served as the show’s editor, aiding in every stage of the show’s production and starting a new “Rewind” series that taps into the rich archive of past podcasts.
Nick will be spending this upcoming summer in Beijing, China as an investment banking summer analyst for JFP Holdings.

Investment Banking at Citi University of Notre Dame Alumnus
Michael is a first-year investment banking analyst at Citi in their New York City office. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2025, where he studied Finance and Psychology. Previously, Michael spent a summer as an investment banking summer analyst in Citi’s Mergers and Acquisitions group and another summer as a private equity summer analyst for Schroder’s US Buyout team. He has also worked for a blockchain analytics startup.
He has an intense curiosity for blockchain innovation and emerging technologies, social entrepreneurship, and the cognitive processes that can aid intelligent business and investment decisions. Michael is currently listening to podcasts that include the Huberman Lab, Joe Rogan Experience, and Invest With the Best.
James Barham
Private Equity at BayPine University of Notre Dame Alumnus
James currently works at BayPine as a Private Equity Investor in Boston. He studied Finance and Social Entrepreneurship at the University of Notre Dame. He enjoys learning about emerging markets investing, global trade dynamics, and the use cases for technology within business.
Following his sophomore year, he spent a month in Beijing, China working for JFP Holdings, a boutique international strategic advisory firm. After his junior year, he interned at Evercore as an M&A investment banking summer analyst.

Conor Holahan
Private Equity at Permira

He has a strong passion for learning about the business value of technology. Conor is currently working as an Investment Professional at Permira on within Technology Buyouts & Growth Equity. Previously, he has worked as an investment banking analyst on Citigroup’s Mergers & Acquisitions team and a business analyst for a cybersecurity firm in the Bay Area.
He has work experience as a data scientist for a Fortune 50 company, a VC-backed startup, and a data analytics research laboratory. Conor has also spent time conducting market research analysis for a venture capital firm focused on investing in early-revenue automation and artificial intelligence startups.
Alex Tullman
Senior Government Advisor (HHS)
University of Notre Dame Alumnus
Alex currently works as a senior government advisor for the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Prior to his current role, he worked as a senior advisor for the General Services Administration (GSA) and as a commercial finance and strategy manager for Procter & Gamble. He has a passion for innovative disruption, business development, excellence in business operation, and social service. Before his current role, he fundraised, founded, and endowed a student managed investment portfolio in high school, raised over $10,000 for investigatory research into a new energy technology, raised >$25,000 for a satellite development organization, and worked as a Venture Capital Summer Associate for a VC fund and Angel Network.
Chris Whipple

Chris is passionate about digital innovation and working alongside entrepreneurs to learn about and help scale their companies. Chris has worked at PeakSpan Capital, a B2B SaaS-focused growth equity firm, a middle-market private equity firm based in New York, and two Education Technology startups in the pre-seed and seed round stages. He worked at Cowen in their technology investment banking group as a full-time analyst and currently works at Ten Coves Capital as a Private Equity Investor.
